Chairman Qualitas Health Woundcare Committee Medical Advisor-Global Doctors Wound Care Team Co-Founder of Medline Dato Dr RS Kumar comes with the experience of being a GP and Family Physician for the last 42 years and a Wound Care Practitioner for almost the last 10 years. The objective of this Pocket Hand Book is to present a simplified and easy to understand information, for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to help make an ‘informed decision’ on Wound Dressings in guiding their Patients at the Workplace. It is not meant to ‘play Doctor’ for the wrong reason’s. Special emphasis has also been placed , especially in the Module on ‘Managing Patient Expectations’, to assist Staff in answering Questions from Patients. I also wish to acknowledge my mentors Prof. Dato Dr Harikrishna Nair , the President of the Malaysian Society of Wound Care Professional(MSWCP) and Prof Dr Keith Harding of the WWIF, Cardiff, UK for their guidance along my Wound Care journey. I hope that this pocket Handbook will serve to enhance the service level at the CARING/BIG PHARMACY counters, for the benefit of the community ,as the current strategy in most advanced Countries today like the UK and Australia, is ‘Pharmacist First’. It has been produced in an electronic format for easy referral.
