This silent epidemic in malaysia today, called diabetes, is contributing to the rising incidence of diabetes in nearly 4.1 million Malaysians in the community. According to current statistics approximately 50% of these Diabetic Patients are expected to sustain a Wound, once in their lifetime, which means that we are easily looking at nearly 2 million Malaysians having a Wound at some stage, besides another 10% of these who could land up with an Amputation. There are currently approximately 425,000 Diabetic Patients with Wounds in the Community and this number is only growing daily. In fact, these days Malaysia is often referred to as the DIABETIC CAPITAL OF SOUTH EAST ASIA. As part of the professional health care team, you can contribute to saving limbs in the community, after the completion of this training -thus becoming a game changer. As a Community Pharmacist you can play the key role in making an ‘INFORMED DECISION TO GUIDE YOUR PATIENTS, WITH YOUR BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WOUNDS AND WOUND DRESSINGS AND TO RECOMMEND THE APPROPRIATE CHOICE OF DRESSINGS, RATHER THAN JUST POINTING IN THE DIRECTION OF THE WOUND CARE SHELF,AS OFTEN DONE CURRENTLY( BASED ON MY MYSTERY SHOPPER EXPERIENCE).  This training program has been drawn up for your convenience so that it will be practical for everyone to attend, without interfering with your normal working hours. Introduction to PAC Wound DIY Kit for Easy Dressing especially for Care Giver’s at Home. Introduction to our Wound Care Manual for easy reference and guidance for the Pharmacists available COMPLIMENTARY in both hard and soft copy version for each Participant. The Panel of Speakers, for the above Modules have been handpicked and comprise of some of the most experienced Trainers in Wound Care in Malaysia. These modules will be available online for your easy referral, for a period of ONE YEAR.
